Woah there! Elizabeth Banks makes fashion fail in bizarre patterned dress at Breeders' Cup World Championships horse racing event in California

She's made some questionable fashion choices in the past and has worn some quirky dresses on the red carpet.
And it seems Elizabeth Banks, 38, is still experimenting with her style.
The American actress opted for an unusual dress with a bizarre pattern for the Breeder's World Cup Championships in Arcadia, California.

The Hunger Games star attended the annual race event for Thoroughbred horses on Saturday and wore a mismatched outfit as she arrived at the venue.
Elizabeth chose a navy blue, sleeveless dress with a loud grey pattern across the piece.

 

She tied it in at the waste with a grey and brown belt which she matched with some dark brown boots which looked out of place as part of the ensemble.
However, she accessorised well with a large silver necklace and neatly tied her blonde hair up behind her head.

The event, hosted by Grey Goose Vodka, saw a number of stars in attendance including actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler and fellow thespian Holland Roden.
The Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn opted for some summery attire and wore bright yellow dress which she teamed with a contrasting pair of black boots.
Teen Wolf actress Holland looked stylish in a black and white jumper and a red, black and yellow striped dress which fitted in with her long, ginger hair and beige boots.

And while Elizabeth may not have looked as stylish as her fellow Hollywood stars, she may have had her mind on other things when planning her outfit - she and husband Max Handelman became parents to 20-month old baby Felix by a gestational surrogate last year.
On becoming a parent, she told Celebuzz: 'The Thursday before my son was born, I was just driving to coffee with my husband and I literally burst into tears.
'I was horrified that this was the last Thursday of my life before I was going to be responsible for another human being for the rest of my life!'
